Non-DOJ Individual Sentenced for Misprision of a Felony in Connection with the Bribery of a BOP Correctional Officer

On February 13, 2024, a non-DOJ individual was sentenced to 1 year of probation and a $100 special assessment for one count of misprision of a felony.  Elizabeth McIntosh was sentenced in the District of Oregon.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from in or about May 2019 through in or about January 2020, McIntosh made payments, at the direction of an inmate, that she knew were for the purpose of bribing a correctional officer; attempted to conceal evidence of the bribery payments; and did not notify any authority of the bribery payments.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Seattle Locale and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
