Non-DOJ Individual Sentenced for Conspiracy to Commit Access Device Fraud and Aggravated Identity Theft

On October 23, 2025, Cristian Restrepo, a non-DOJ individual, was sentenced in the Southern District of Florida to 32 months of imprisonment, 36 months of supervised release, and ordered to pay a $200 special assessment. Restrepo previously pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit access device fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from in or about December 2023 to on or about February 22, 2024, Restrepo conspired with a then DEA Asset Forfeiture Specialist, Lesley Pasquet, and another non-DOJ individual, Tonianne Dixon, to purchase Social Security Numbers, dates of birth, and driver license numbers issued to other persons and use the information to commit tax and unemployment insurance fraud. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Miami office.
