On July 8, 2025, a non-DOJ individual was sentenced to18 months of imprisonment, followed by 3 years of supervised release with special conditions and a $1,000.00 fine. Dale Robinson was sentenced after pleading guilty to an Information in the Southern District of Florida. According to the factual statement in support of the plea, from in or around January 2021 through in or around March 2022, Robinson, a Miami-Dade County agent and employee, solicited and accepted bribes totaling $75,956 from Jessie Bledsoe, the operator and co-owner of JB Railroad, intending to be influenced in connection with the contracts and purchase orders that JB Railroad received from Miami-Dade Transit to do work on the Metrorail system. To disguise these payments, Robinson directed his wife, Marcia Taylor-Robinson, a former DOJ Civil Division Legal Assistant, to create a company, Tailored Railroads; open a checking account on which she was the sole signatory; and issue invoices to JB Railroad in the amount of the bribes. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Huntsville Locale and the FBI.
