On December 9, 2025, Arabia Ritchie, a non-DOJ individual, was arrested following a Complaint charging her with one count of conspiracy to provide contraband to prison inmates in the Eastern District of New York. According to the Complaint, on or about January 2025, Ritchie knowingly and intentionally conspired with others to provide prohibited objects, including marijuana and tobacco cigarettes, to prison inmates inside the Metropolitan Detention Center Brooklyn in New York. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s New York City Office.
