Former USMS Contract Correctional Officer Pleaded Guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Bribery and Introduce Contraband into a Prison

On February 15, 2022, a former USMS Contract Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Leavenworth Detention Center (Leavenworth) in Kansas, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit bribery and introduce contraband into a prison.  Jacqueline Sifuentes pleaded guilty in the District of Kansas.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from in or about August 2020 through in or about September 2020, Sifuentes used her position at Leavenworth to conspire with others to receive at least $800 in exchange for smuggling contraband, including tobacco, methamphetamine, and marijuana into the facility.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Chicago Field Office and the FBI.
