On September 22, 2022, a former FBI Intelligence Analyst previously assigned to the FBI’s Kansas City Field Office pleaded guilty to two counts of the willful retention of national defense information. Kendra Kingsbury pleaded guilty in the Western District of Missouri. According to court records, Kinsbury pleaded guilty to counts 1 and 2 of the Indictment, which provided that from in or about June 2004 through on or about December 15, 2017, while having unauthorized possession of, access to, and control over documents relating to national defense, Kingsbury willfully retained the documents at her personal residence and failed to deliver them to the officer or employee of the United States entitled to receive them. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Chicago Field Office and the FBI.
