On February 12, 2026, former DEA Task Force Officer (TFO) previously assigned to the DEA Miami Field Office was arrested following a criminal complaint charging him with one count each of official misconduct, organized scheme to defraud, forgery, and grand theft. Joshua Passman was arrested in the Seventh Judicial District for Broward County, FL. According to the complaint, from in or about January 2024 through in or about July 2025, Passman, among other things, falsified and forged official records or documents as part of a scheme to defraud. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Miami Office, the FBI, DEA OPR, and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
