On May 11, 2022, a former DEA Supervisory Special Agent previously assigned to the DEA’s Little Rock Field Office was sentenced to 135 months of imprisonment and 2 years of supervised release for bribery of a public official. Nathan Charles Wood Koen was sentenced in the Eastern District of Arkansas. According to the plea agreement, Koen pleaded guilty to a one-count Superseding Information, which stated that on or about December 3, 2018, Koen accepted a cash payment from a known drug trafficker in exchange for providing law enforcement sensitive information to the drug trafficker. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Field Office and the FBI’s Little Rock Field Office.
