Former DEA Contractor Arrested, Charged, and Pleaded Guilty to Receiving Converted Government Money


On May 14, 2021, a former DEA Contract Asset Forfeiture Administrative Assistant previously assigned to the DEA Boise Resident Office was arrested and pleaded guilty following an Information charging her with one count of receiving converted government money.  Susan Mittleider was charged in the District of Idaho.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from on or about June 6, 2019, through on or about August 28, 2019, Mittleider knowingly received and retained approximately $754 in incorrectly paid Social Security benefits and subsequently used said funds for her own benefit.   The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Denver Field Office and the Social Security Administration OIG’s Boise Resident Office.
