Former Contract Correctional Officer Sentenced for Bribery of a Public Official and Introduction of Contraband

On May 23, 2023, a former USMS Contract Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center (NEOCC) in Youngstown, Ohio, was sentenced to 12 months of imprisonment and 2 years of supervised release for one count of bribery of a public official and three counts of providing contraband to an inmate.  Terry Terrigno was sentenced in the Northern District of Ohio.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from on or about February 13, 2017, through on or about July 4, 2019, Terrigno accepted monetary bribes in exchange for introducing contraband, namely Suboxone, marijuana, and tobacco, into the NEOCC.  The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Chicago Field Office and the FBI.
