On February 11, 2026, a former BOP Materials Handler Supervisor, A. Jade Howard, previously assigned to the Federal Medical Center Lexington (FMC Lexington) was sentenced in the Eastern District of Kentucky to 12 months and 1 day incarceration and 1-year supervised release for one count of bribery of a public official. According to the Information, between in or about April 2023 and October 2024, Howard corruptly received money in the form of CashApp payments totaling $18,602 in return for providing contraband, including cigarettes and paper laced with synthetic marijuana, to an inmate at FMC Lexington. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Lexington Locale and the FBI.
