Former BOP Materials Handler Supervisor Arrested and Pleaded Guilty to Bribery

On October 6, 2025, Jade Howard (a/k/a Ashley Howard), a former BOP Materials Handler Supervisor assigned to the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky (FMC Lexington), was arrested and pleaded guilty in the Eastern District of Kentucky to an information charging her with one count of bribery of a public official. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, between in or about April 2023 and October 2024, Howard received money in the form of CashApp payments totaling $18,602 in return for providing contraband, including paper laced with synthetic marijuana and cigarettes, to an inmate at FMC Lexington. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Lexington Locale Office and the FBI.
