On December 11, 2025, Jere Bolden, a former BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Federal Correctional Complex Beaumont (FCC Beaumont) in Texas was sentenced in the Eastern District of Texas to six months of imprisonment and three years of supervised release; ordered to pay $20,832.33 in restitution and a $100 assessment; and fined $1,000. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, in or about April 2021, Bolden knowingly transmitted a Paycheck Protection Program loan application containing false information that claimed she had contract labor and office expenses for a business that did not exist. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Houston Office with assistance from the OIG’s Dallas Office, the Department of Homeland Security OIG, and the Department of Labor OIG.
