On October 8, 2026, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Federal Detention Center Philadelphia, in Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to three counts of making a material false statement. Joyce McNeill pleaded guilty in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, on December 19, 2025, McNeill, knowingly and willfully made material false, fictitious, and fraudulent statements to federal agents. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Trenton Office and the FBI.
