Former BOP Correctional Officer Pleaded Guilty to Attempted Provision of Contraband in Prison

On July 15, 2025, a former BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Metropolitan Detention Center Brooklyn (MDC Brooklyn), in New York, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted provision of contraband in prison.  Najee Jackson pleaded guilty in the Eastern District of New York. According to the Indictment, on January 21, 2025, attempted to smuggle vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana and cigarettes into the facility inside his BOP-issued protective vest. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s New York Office.
