Former BOP Correctional Officer Indicted for Impersonating an Officer

On August 2, 2022, a former BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, was charged with one count of impersonating an officer.  Alexis Patterson was indicted in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Fredrick County Circuit Court.  According to the Indictment, on or about September 6, 2021, Alexis Patterson falsely identified herself as a law enforcement officer. The investigation is being conducted by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Frederick County Prosecutors Office with assistance from the OIG’s New York Field Office.
