Former BOP Correctional Officer Arrested and Pleaded Guilty to Introduction of Contraband

On April 26, 2023, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution Coleman (FCI Coleman) in Wildwood, Florida, was arrested and pleaded guilty to introduction of contraband.  James Davis pleaded guilty in the Middle District of Florida.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from on or about December 10, 2018, through on or about February 1, 2019, James Davis received monetary payments in exchange for providing cigarettes to an inmate at FCI Coleman.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Chattanooga Domicile Office.
