Former BOP Contract Correctional Officer Pleaded Guilty to Bribery

On April 6, 2023, a former Management & Training Corporation (MTC) Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility, a BOP contract facility located in Post, Texas, pleaded guilty to one count of bribery of a public official.  Jasmine Arellano pleaded guilty in the Northern District of Texas.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, on or about May 10, 2021, Arellano received approximately $10,000 through Cash App and Venmo from an inmate in exchange for bringing contraband, including K2 and cocaine, into the institution for the inmate.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Field Office.
