On May 5, 2021, a former BOP Contract Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Great Plains Correctional Facility (GPCF) in Hinton, Oklahoma was arrested, pleaded guilty, and sentenced to 12 months of probation, with the condition that he perform 50 hours of community service within the first six months of probation, for one count of providing contraband to a federal prisoner. Nicholas Beshears was sentenced in the Western District of Oklahoma. According to plea agreement, Beshears pleaded guilty to a one-count Information, which stated that from in or about August 2019 through in or about January 2020, Beshears provided Hydroxycut capsules and Pre-workout powder, both prohibited objects, to an inmate of the GPCF. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Field Office and the FBI.
