Bureau of Prisons Correctional Officer Indicted for Sexually Assaulting an Inmate

On July 8, 2020, a BOP Food Service Foreman assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution in Marianna, Florida, but previously on detail to the Federal Correctional Institution Tallahassee (FCI Tallahassee) in Florida, was arrested following an Indictment charging him with two counts of sexual abuse of an inmate under his supervision.  Phillip Golightly was indicted in the Northern District of Florida.  According to the Indictment, on or about November 10, 2019, and on or about November 17, 2019, Golightly did knowingly engage in a sexual act with an inmate at FCI Tallahassee.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Miami Field Office.
