On January 12, 2021, a BOP Teacher assigned to the United States Federal Correctional Complex in Tucson, Arizona, pleaded guilty to an Information charging him with one count of delivery of false official certificates or writings, and was sentenced to three months of unsupervised probation. Francisco “Adrian” Koch was sentenced in the District of Arizona. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, in or about fall 2018, Koch knowingly made and delivered a certificate or writing as true that he knew to contain false statements, specifically, that a BOP prisoner had earned a high school equivalency certificate and successfully completed a course of study. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Tucson Area Office with assistance from the OIG’s Cyber Investigations Office.
