On February 21, 2023, a BOP Inmate previously assigned to Federal Correctional Complex Forrest City (FCC Forrest City) in Arkansas was sentenced to 14 months of incarceration, to be served consecutively to the sentence he was already serving, followed by 3 years of supervised release for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Ura Clerk, who pleaded guilty on the same day, was sentenced in the Eastern District of Arkansas. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, on or about July 15, 2018, Clerk met with a non-DOJ individual who provided Clerk with a controlled substance, which Clerk intended to sell to other inmates, at FCC Forrest City. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Field Office, with assistance provided by OIG’s Cyber Investigation Office.
