On June 30, 2023, a BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Elkton Federal Correctional Institution in Lisbon, Ohio (FCI Elkton) was sentenced to 3 years of probation, with 6 months of home confinement and location monitoring, for one count of conspiracy to provide contraband in prison, one count of accepting bribes, and two counts of introduction of contraband. Milton Williams was sentenced in the Northern District of Ohio. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from on or about March 15, 2020, through on or about January 21, 2021, Williams knowingly and willfully conspired with others to provide and attempt to provide prohibited objects, specifically cellular telephones and tobacco, to prison inmates in exchange for electronic payments. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Chicago Field Office and the FBI.
