On May 4, 2022, a BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Elkton Federal Correctional Institution in Lisbon, Ohio (FCI Elkton) was arrested following an Indictment charging him with one count of conspiracy to provide contraband in prison, one count of accepting bribes, and two counts of introduction of contraband. Milton Williams was indicted in the Northern District of Ohio. According to the Indictment, from on or about March 15, 2020, through on or about January 21, 2021, Williams knowingly and willfully conspired with others to provide and attempt to provide prohibited objects, specifically cellular telephones and tobacco, to prison inmates. According to the Indictment, Williams also corruptly agreed to receive and accepted electronic payments from inmates through a Mobile Payment Application in exchange for smuggling the contraband cellular telephones and tobacco into the facility. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Chicago Field Office and the FBI.
