BOP Correctional Officer Convicted of Sexual Abuse of an Inmate

On April 11, 2023, a BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Federal Correctional Complex Coleman (FCC Coleman) in Florida, was found guilty of one count of sexual abuse of a ward after a day-and-a-half trial by jury.  Fiona Palmer was charged in the Middle District of Florida.  According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Palmer engaged in sexual acts with an inmate at FCC Coleman.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Atlanta Area Office.
