On January 8, 2026, a BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Talladega, Alabama, was arrested following an indictment by a Federal Grand Jury for Bribery. Jamie Seehafer was indicted in the Northern District of Alabama. According to the Indictment, from on or about May 1, 2023, through May 29, 2024, Seehafer accepted monetary bribes to smuggle various items of contraband into FCI Talladega. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Charleston Locale and the FBI.
