BOP Correctional Officer Arrested for Bribery

On April 18, 2023, a BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, was arrested following a criminal Complaint charging him with one count of bribery.  Quandelle Joseph was arrested in the Eastern District of New York.  According to the criminal Complaint and Affidavit in Support of Arrest Warrant, from in or about December 2020 through in or about November 2021, Joseph demanded and accepted monetary payments in return for smuggling contraband into MDC Brooklyn.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s New York Field Office and the FBI.
