DOJ OIG Releases New Version of a Previously-Released Report on the FBI’s Use of Exigent Letters and Other Informal Requests for Telephone Records

 The Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced today that a new version of a previously-released report, “A Review of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Use of Exigent Letters and Other Informal Requests for Telephone Records,” was released yesterday in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation brought by the New York Times in the Southern District of New York.
