Audit of the Fiscal Year 2026 Information Technology Security Pursuant to the Federal Information Security Modernization Act

The OIG is conducting its annual Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) audits for fiscal year 2026. The OIG has selected the following Department components for review: the Justice Management Division; Federal Bureau of Investigation; United States Marshals Service; Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Federal Prison Industries, Inc.; and Executive Office for Immigration Review. The OIG will review select systems from each component to assess the effectiveness of the Department’s information security programs and practices. In addition, the OIG will perform an annual independent evaluation of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) for the District of Columbia’s information security program and practices. The OIG will review select system(s) to assess the effectiveness of CSOSA’s information security program and practices.
