USMS Contractor Arrested for Theft of Government Property

On April 19, 2026, a former USMS Contractor assigned to work in the Richard B. Russell Federal Building, Atlanta Georgia, was arrested for theft of government property. David Teren was charged by Atlanta Police Department via a State of Georgia Criminal Arrest Warrant. According to the warrant, on or about April 19, 2024, Teren arrived at the federal building using his card access to enter the building and take security equipment to install at the pool of his homeowners’ association. This investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Atlanta Office and the Atlanta Police Department.
