On May 8, 2025, a non-DOJ individual was arrested on one count of Bribery Concerning Programs Receiving Federal Funds. Jessie Bledsoe was previously charged by Information in the Southern District of Florida. On May 9, 2025, Bledsoe pleaded guilty to one count of Bribery. According to the factual statement in support of the plea, from in or around January 2021 through in or around March 2022, Bledsoe, the operator and co-owner of JB Railroad, made payments totaling $75,956 with the intent to influence and reward an agent of Miami-Dade County, Dale Robinson, in the award of purchase orders from Miami-Dade Transit for work on the Metrorail system. Bledsoe made these payments after receiving invoices from Tailored Railroads, a company created at Robinson’s direction to disguise the payments. Robinson and his wife, a former DOJ Civil Division Legal Assistant, previously pleaded guilty to related charges. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Huntsville Locale and the FBI.
