Former USMS Correctional Officer Sentenced for Introduction of Contraband

On October 18, 2023, a former USMS Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Robert A. Deyton Detention Facility (RAD) in Lovejoy, Georgia, was sentenced to two months of imprisonment followed by 36 months of supervised release for one count of introduction of contraband.  Daja Dillihay was sentenced in the Northern District of Georgia.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from on or about December 6, 2020, through on or about December 14, 2020, Dillihay used her position at RAD to smuggle contraband, including a cellular phone, a knife, and a screwdriver, into the facility. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Chattanooga Domicile Office and the FBI.
