On March 5, 2026, a former USMS Contract Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO) was sentenced to eighteen months of incarceration, “up to 2 years of discretionary post release control”, and a $500 fine, following a guilty plea to one count of bribery of a public official. Alexander Williams pleaded guilty in Williams County Court of Common Pleas, located in Bryan, Ohio. According to the Indictment, between May 2024 and December 2024, Williams knowingly accepted bribes to influence the discharge of his official duties. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Detroit Office and the Williams County Sheriff’s Office.
