On January 20, 2026, a former BOP Nurse previously assigned to the Federal Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota, was sentenced to six months incarnation followed by one year of supervised release for making false statements. Jessica Larson was sentenced in the District of Minnesota. From in or about April 2024, Larson entered into a romantic relationship, exchanged sexually explicit letters, and engaged in sexual contact with an inmate under her care and custody. After the relationship was discovered by the BOP, Larson filed a false PREA report claiming she was sexually assaulted by the inmate. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Chicago Office and the FBI.
