Former BOP Medical Contractor Arrested for Bribery

On August 11, 2021, a former BOP Medical Contractor previously assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution Williamsburg (FCI Williamsburg) in Saulters, South Carolina, was arrested following a July 27, 2021, Indictment charging her with one count of bribery and one count of introduction of contraband.  Tanganita Dawkins was indicted in the District of South Carolina.  According to the Indictment, from in or about June 2019 through in or about October 2019, Dawkins received money in exchange for providing a cellular telephone and tobacco to an inmate at FCI Williamsburg. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Atlanta Area Office.
