On October 22, 2025, Adrian Simms, a former BOP inmate, was arrested in the Southern District of Georgia following an indictment for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. According to the Indictment, Simms entered into a conspiracy with BOP Correctional Officer Ashley Brown to possess and distribute controlled substances, including methamphetamine, K2, and marijuana, in FCI Jesup. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Charleston Locale.
