Former BOP Education Specialist Pleaded Guilty to False Statements

On April 17, 2023, a former BOP Education Specialist previously assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution El Reno in Oklahoma pleaded guilty to providing false statements.  Nicole Leck pleaded guilty in the Western District of Oklahoma.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, on or about December 29, 2022, Leck knowingly and willfully made materially false statements to the government, specifically that she had not engaged in sexual activities with an inmate and was only suspected of these acts because she sometimes worked alone in the library with inmates.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Field Office and the FBI.
