Former BOP Correctional Officer Sentenced for Conspiracy to Provide Contraband to a Prisoner

On January 19, 2024, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Federal Medical Center Fort Worth (FMC Fort Worth), Fort Worth, Texas, was sentenced to 3 months of imprisonment followed by 36 months of supervised release for conspiracy to provide contraband to a prisoner.  Marquis Reynolds was sentenced in the Northern District of Texas.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from in or about August 2022 through in or about September 2022, Reynolds knowingly and willfully agreed together with others to provide prohibited objects, including Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a Schedule I Controlled Substance, and mobile electronic devices to inmates at FMC Fort Worth.  This investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
