On August 19, 2026, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Federal Correctional Complex Forrest City (FCC Forrest City), in Arkansas, was sentenced to 30 months of imprisonment for bribery. Robert Cochran was sentenced in the Eastern District of Arkansas. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from October 1, 2022, through February 27, 2023, Cochran corruptly agreed to receive and accept money in exchange for smuggling contraband into FCC Forrest City. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Office.
