Former BOP Correctional Officer Arrested for Bribery

On March 1, 2021, a former BOP Correctional Officer, previously assigned to the Federal Correctional Complex Coleman (FCC Coleman) in Florida, was arrested following a Criminal Complaint charging him with one count of bribery of a public official.  Wayne Grant was charged in the Middle District of Florida.  According to the affidavit in support of the arrest warrant, on or about February 4, 2021, Grant provided paper material which was soaked with sham methamphetamine to an inmate in FCC Coleman.  Grant received the sham methamphetamine and a $2,000 payment from an OIG undercover agent, in exchange for the delivery of the sham methamphetamine to the inmate.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Miami Field Office and the FBI.
