Former BOP Contract Maintenance Worker Indicted for Bribery of a Public Official

On May 12, 2021, a former BOP Contract Maintenance Worker assigned to the Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility (DCF), a contract facility in Texas, was indicted on one count of receiving a bribe by a public official.  David Marquez Jr. was indicted in the Northern District of Texas – Lubbock Division.  According to the Indictment, on or about August 11, 2020, Marquez received money in exchange for introducing contraband into the DCF.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Field Office.
