Former BOP Contract Maintenance Worker Arrested for Bribery of Public Official

On May 17, 2021, a former BOP Contract Maintenance Worker assigned to the contract facility, Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility (DCF), in Texas was arrested following an Indictment charging him with one count of receiving a bribe by a public official.  David Marquez Jr. was indicted in the Northern District of Texas – Lubbock Division.  According to the Indictment, on or about August 11, 2020, Marquez received money in exchange for introducing contraband into the DCF.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Field Office.
