Former BOP Contract Correctional Officer Sentenced for Bribery

On August 3, 2023, a former Management & Training Corporation (MTC) Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility, a BOP contract facility located in Post, Texas, was sentenced to 12 months and 1 day of imprisonment followed by 1 year of supervised release for one count of bribery.  Jasmine Arellano was sentenced in the Northern District of Texas.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, on or about May 10, 2021, Arellano received approximately $10,000 through Cash App and Venmo from an inmate in exchange for bringing contraband, including K2 and cocaine, into the institution for the inmate.  The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Field Office.
