Former BOP Contract Correctional Officer Sentenced for Bribery

On February 22, 2023, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the McRae Correctional Facility (McRae) in McRae, Georgia, was sentenced to 12 months of imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release, as well as ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and forfeit $1,000 for one count of bribery.  Tiffany Fletcher was sentenced in the Southern District of Georgia.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, on or about June 25, 2019, Fletcher received a $1,000 bribery payment in return for not reporting contraband being brought into McRae.  The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Atlanta Area Office.
