Former BOP Contract Correctional Officer Pleaded Guilty to Bribery

On October 18, 2022, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the McRae Correctional Facility (McRae) in McRae, Georgia, pleaded guilty to one count of bribery.  Tiffany Fletcher was charged in the Southern District of Georgia.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, on or about June 25, 2019, Fletcher received a $1,000 bribery payment in return for not reporting contraband being brought into McRae.  As a part of the guilty plea, Fletcher agreed to forfeit $1,000.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Atlanta Area Office.
