Former BOP Contract Correctional Officer Arrested on Charges of Making False Statements

On March 31, 2022, a former BOP contract Correctional Officer assigned to the Rivers Correctional Institution in Winton, NC, was arrested following a March 2, 2022 Indictment charging him with one count of making false statements.  Raven Hall was indicted in the Eastern District of North Carolina.  According to the Indictment, on or about March 3, 2020, Hall made false statements to the OIG when he denied control of a certain CashApp account and denied that he had received money from an inmate of Rivers Correctional Institution.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Washington Field Office.
