On October 11, 2022, a BOP Inmate previously assigned to Federal Correctional Complex Forrest City (FCC Forrest City) in Arkansas was sentenced to 24 months incarceration for bribery of a public official. Justin Wiley was sentenced in the Eastern District of Arkansas. According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, on or about January 2, 2019, Wiley caused $350 be sent to a BOP Correctional Officer (CO) in exchange for the CO introducing contraband, including alcohol and tobacco, into FCC Forrest City. The CO, a civilian, and two additional inmates have been indicted in this case and their prosecution is pending. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Dallas Field Office, with assistance provided by OIG’s Cyber Investigation Office.
