BOP Correctional Officer Arrested for Introduction of Contraband

On January 31, 2022, a BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution Yazoo City (FCI Yazoo City) in Mississippi, was arrested pursuant to a state arrest warrant for introduction of contraband.  Richard Young was arrested in Mississippi.  According to the affidavit in support of the arrest warrant, on August 18, 2021, Young smuggled six mini cell phones and $1,365 in United States currency into FCI Yazoo City.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Jackson Domicile Office.
