Shreveport Police Department Sergeant Indicted for Wire Fraud in Connection with a DOJ Grant Program

On August 24, 2022, a Sergeant with the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) in Louisiana was indicted for six counts of wire fraud.  James Cisco was indicted in the Western District of Louisiana.  According to the Indictment, from on or about January 6, 2020, through on or about January 19, 2021, Cisco submitted and caused to be submitted SPD Reports of Overtime falsely stating that he worked on assignments under the DOJ’s Office of Justice Program’s Community-Based Crime Reduction (CBCR) grant.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Fraud Detection Office and the FBI.
