On July 8, 2025, a non-DOJ individual, Roosevelt Dale, was sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release, as well as ordered to pay a $200 assessment. for one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute suboxone and marijuana and one count of providing contraband to an inmate. According to the Superseding Indictment, from on or about January 30, 2021, through on or about February 15, 2021, Dale conspired with a then contract correctional officer (Kaii Almeida Falcones, who pleaded guilty to providing contraband to an inmate last year), another non-DOJ individual, and two inmates to possess with intent to distribute a mixture containing a detectable amount of suboxone and a mixture containing a detectable amount of marijuana; and on or about February 14, 2021, Dale and his co-defendants allegedly provided and attempted to provide suboxone to inmates of the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility, a USMS contract facility in Rhode Island that houses pre-sentenced inmates. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Boston Office, the FBI, and the USMS, with assistance provided by the Professional Standards Unit at the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Center.
